X-ray film is selected in accordance with the technical requirements. In official regulations governing the control and inspection of welded joints, there are such parameters as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">distance between the radiation source and the testing product;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">X-ray tube voltage;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">the use of metallic or fluorescent screens;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">dependence on the thickness of the material;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Advantages of radiographic testing<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">1. Detecting defects which are inaccessible to other NDT technologies (poor penetration, holes, etc.).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">2. The exact localization of defects. Due to this advantage, the speed of the repair work increases significantly.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">3. High reliability of testing, visual determination of the defects types and the amount of convexity and concavity of the stringer beads.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">4. Archiving prints for re-analysis.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">5. Automated interpretation of X-rays.
